Dawn in Buffalo Valley
Title
Dawn in Buffalo Valley
Description
Animals and plants of different scales are scattered throughout this composition making this a collection of images rather than a single coherent scene. Their relative sizes of the plants and animals bear no relation to reality, for example, a blue morning glory is the same size as the deer. The snow owl is as large as both. The deer, squirrels, butterflies, and insects, in this work are all flora and fauna local to the Buffalo Valley. This explains the title. They are placed on a mostly gold background, with sections of red, green, and gray paint.
