Serenity
Title
Serenity
Description
In Serenity three figures surround a large decorated planter holding pale blue, blue and light-orange, and yellow orchids. There is also a tall yellow flower and a small flower with turquoise and red petals. The planter is decorated with triangular and rectangular bands of illegible script that resembles Burmese writing. The figure to the lower right of the of the bowl looks like a seated Buddha. To the lower left of the bowl is a standing figure of a Buddhist monk. Slightly above and to the left of this figure is another standing figure in an elaborate costume and headdress. The background of this painting is a wash that fades from blue-gray to red-gray going from top to bottom.
