Columbines
Title
Columbines
Girls Bathing in a River
Description
Columbines or Girls Bathing in a River shows a group of women bathing in a river. On the left side is the upper portion of a woman partially covered by a brown and yellow columbine. There is a pair of legs at the bottom of the painting, also partially covered by four of the same flowers, and a small group of green leaves. The back of another woman is covering most of the right half of the painting. Three more women are shown throughout leaves that dwarf them in size. There is a gray sky, while the water is blue at the top and turns green toward the floor of the river.
