The Centipede

Description

The Centipede shows a blue gray vase with a round bottom and a long thin neck holding three types of flowers. To the left are orchids of green, red, and purple. Toward the right is a bell-like flower of steel gray and then hanging out of the vase is a salmon-colored trumpet flower. Walking along the bell flower is a long black centipede, and an ant is walking along the other stalk. To the left of the vase is statue of a Buddhist monk wearing a red and white robe. He holds a rabbit in his lap. Behind the vase is an angled purple and green decorated table, rooted in shadow. In the foreground is a statue of a horse colored in with patches of green and purple. The background is built up by bands of purple, gray, and brown paint.
