The Cretan Snake Goddess
Title
The Cretan Snake Goddess
Description
The Cretan Snake Goddess depicts a statuette of Cretan Snake Goddess in profile view. She wears a flounced skirt and a crown. She stands in a patch of small white daisies and slightly larger blue flowers. The background is created with different shades of brown and gray applied to the canvas inconsistently. On the left side of the composition is a plant with blue flowers that have orange centers. It stretches the height of the composition. Another plant with yellow flowers is on the opposite side. Nestled in the blue flowers are a yellow bird, small white owl and an unidentifiable white animal. A monkey sits on the top of the flowers. A yellow owl sits in the yellow flowers on the right side with another white figure of a deer grazing above it.
