Title

Dawn over the Forest
Dawn in the Forest

Description

Dawn Over the Forest was once part of Fetherston’s Exit the Bear from which it was cut and repainted. The small trees and other gray-green-blue vegetation in the foreground were part of the original composition although the artist added a line drawing in pencil of couple dancing. The sky is a yellow-orange with slashes of light blue. The style of painting is abstract, and the pigment is thickly applied. On the back a tag reads "Dawn in The Forest. E. F. 1954 Dec." As a section of a larger canvas, this painting was shown at the Ferragil Galleries in 1933
